Drug Trafficking Investigation Nets Results in Prince Albert

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 12:34 p.m. the Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) executed a search warrant on the 100 Block of 28 Street West.

The lone male suspect was arrested inside the residence. On his person cash and two cell phones were located.

The residence was searched and a loaded .45 calibre handgun with magazines and a pellet handgun were located. A locked case was also located with large bags of methamphetamine totaling 140.1 grams as several small baggies of methamphetamine totaling 11.5 grams. A large amount of cash was also seized from the locked case.

The 46-year-old male from Prince Albert is charged with unlawful trafficking of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana not exceeding 30 grams, eight firearms related charges and possession of property (Canadian currency) not exceeding $5,000 derived from proceeds of crime.

The accused will make his first court appearances in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

The Integrated Street Enforcement Team is made up of members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Prince Albert Police Service.
