Three people killed in collision, Howley Junction, N.L.

Deer Lake, Newfoundland and Labrador – Two women and a man have died following a two-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway in western Newfoundland.

On September 13, 2017, around 9:45 a.m., Deer Lake RCMP were called to the scene of a collision just west of Howley Junction, about 50 kilometres west of Deer Lake. Three people, a 56-year-old woman from Sop’s Arm, a 44-year-old woman from Pollards Point and a 71-year-old man from Labrador died following the collision. Two other people were taken to hospital in Corner Brook.

The highway was closed while emergency crews attended the scene, but has since reopened.

The investigation is continuing.
