UPDATE: Grande Prairie RCMP investigate woman’s death

Grande Prairie, Alberta – On September 6, 2017 at 7:03 AM Grande Prairie Emergency Service personnel responded to a report of a fire in an apartment in the Montrose Apartment complex. Inside the apartment a female was found deceased.

Following an autopsy completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton the death of the 55-year-old female was deemed to not be suspicious.

The name of the deceased will not be released and no further media releases regarding this matter are anticipated.

Grande Prairie RCMP investigate woman’s death

Grande Prairie, Alberta – This morning at approximately 7:03 a.m., Grande Prairie Emergency Service personnel responded to a report of a fire in an apartment in the Montrose Apartment complex on the east side of the city. A female was found inside of the apartment and was later confirmed deceased. No one else was injured.

The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy will be completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton to determine the cause of death.

The name of the deceased will not be released at this time.
