Camrose, Alberta – September 25th, 2017 – Police were notified of a break & enter to a residence on 46th street in the 4800 block. Access was gained through a window and a small amount of money was stolen. Police are investigating.
A company employee staying at a west end hotel contacted Police to report a theft of equipment. The instrumentation equipment valued at $24,000 was contained in a black model 1600 Pelican case and was left unsecured in the back of the truck. Later that evening a traffic stop of a vehicle was conducted and while speaking with the driver Police observed on the back seat a Pelican case which matched the stolen property. After confirming that the case contained the expensive equipment, Police arrested the two male occupants and they were jointly charged with possession of stolen property over $5000.
An intoxicated female attended the Police station to lodge a complaint. The female was known by Police as having a condition not to consume alcohol so she was subsequently arrested and charged with breaching her alcohol condition.
September 24th, 2017 – As a result of an uttering threats investigation which was initiated last week a 49 year old female from Camrose was arrested. She was charged with one count of uttering threats and later released on a Promise to Appear in court.
While conducting proactive patrols near a west end licensed premise, Police conducted a traffic stop. The female driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Police Service to collect breath samples. The female failed to provide an adequate sample and was subsequently charged. The heavily intoxicated male passenger began to cause problems with member and was arrested for assaulting a Police Officer. He was lodged until he was sober and released on a Promise to Appear.
September 23rd, 2017 – A lady reported she attended a social event and the next day she realized her cellphone was stolen by an unknown person(s).
A homeowner called stating a woman was out of control at his residence in the area of 51 Avenue and 53 Street. Police attended and arrested the 22 year old woman for numerous outstanding warrants. Members also arrested a 46 year old woman for outstanding warrants and a 20 year old man for breaching his alcohol conditions. A search of the male’s belongings revealed he was in possession of a dangerous weapon. The male was further charged with possession of a dangerous weapon. All three scheduled to have bail hearings to determine if they can be released.
Police attended to the Duggan Mall parking lot after receiving numerous complaints of youths spinning their tires and making inappropriate gestures to other motorists. Both vehicles were located and the youths were given warnings for their actions.
A woman called stating a male was staggering towards her vehicle and appeared to be intoxicated. A 26 year old man was located and arrested for public intoxication. The male was lodged into cells and released when he was sober.
