Medicine Hat Police Investigate Robbery at Bank of Montreal

Medicine Hat, Alberta – In the early morning hours of October 21 2017 police located a 53 year old male suspect wanted in the connection of the robberies which occurred at the Royal Bank of Canada, 2901 13 Ave Se, and the Bank of Montreal, 3215E Dunmore Rd SE. Police took the male suspect into custody without incident.

Male suspect, who is from the Winnipeg area, is currently in police custody awaiting charges of two counts of Robbery. Investigation is currently ongoing and more information will be provided when available.

BACKGROUND:

Medicine Hat, Alberta – On October 20, 2017 at about 1140 hours, a lone male walked into the Bank of Montreal located at 3215E Dunmore Rd SE.

The male appeared to be mid 50s, wearing a black hoodie and black ballcap, bluejeans, overweight and average height. He had a scruffy face with white hair.

The male approached the teller and demanded money, he left with an undisclosed sum, and headed on foot toward the Cuyler area.

Nobody was hurt in this incident. No weapon was seen or indicated.
