Fort McMurray, Alberta – On November 2nd, 2017, at approximately 10:46 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a 911 call for uttering threats at a residence in Fort McKay, Alberta. The RCMP located a 37 year old female, and a 33 year old male, who feared for their lives. The 33 year old male had sustained extensive injuries, and is currently in the hospital in a coma. The 37 year old female did not report any injuries to police.
RCMP investigation has determined Lenny WHITFORD, and Percy WHITFORD are responsible for the above incident.
A Warrant For Arrest has been issued for Lenny Walter WHITFORD, a 37 year old male, of Fort McKay, Alberta. The Warrant has been issued for the following offences, Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Overcoming Resistance to the Commission of an Indictable Offence, and Uttering Threats Against a Person.
Percy WHITFORD, a 38 year old, of Fort McKay, Alberta was arrested and has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Overcoming Resistance to the Commission of an Indictable Offence, Uttering Threats Against a Person, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. Percy WHITFORD was remanded into custody after a hearing and is set to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on November 20, 2017.
The investigation continues in relation to this incident.
