Cochrane, Alberta – On November 28, 2017 the Cochrane RCMP were made aware of numerous break and enters into homes, garages and vehicles over night. These break and enters occurred mostly in Cochrane, with one or two in the rural area. Surveillance photos were obtained from one of the residences. The RCMP believe that the female in the attached photos has information on these break and enters.
The RCMP are reminding people to please lock their vehicles and do not leave items of value or garage door openers in their vehicles. “With the holiday season upon us, it might be tempting to leave parcels and bags, wallets and garage door openers in plain sight, in locked vehicles, in the garage,” said Cst. Kary Moore, Cochrane RCMP “however, would be thieves count on this, and look for these opportunities.”
The RCMP are also reminding people to please call in any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods. “Residents in the different subdivisions make for the best witnesses,” said Cst. Kary Moore “you know your neighbours and you know what vehicles they drive, and can very quickly determine if a ‘strange’ vehicle or person is in the area.”
Anyone with information regarding these break and enters are asked to please contact the Cochrane RCMP detachment at 403-851-8000. If you have information about this, or any other crime(s), and you want to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), by internet at www.tipsubmit.com, or by SMS (check your local Crime Stoppers [www.crimestoppers.ab.ca] for instructions on how to do it.) You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers, and if you provide information to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest(s), the recovery of stolen property, and/or a seizure of illicit drugs, you may be eligible for a cash reward.
