Police seize methamphetamine, oxycodone, cocaine and marihuana during search

Amherst, Nova Scotia – On February 7, the Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Unit, with assistance from Amherst Police Department and Cumberland District RCMP, searched a home on Albion St. Three people from Amherst are facing charges for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and police have seized quantities of several illicit substances. Those facing charges are:

A 31-year-old woman, facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking,

A 54-year-old woman, facing charges of Possession of Oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking,

A 58-year-old man, facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

All three individuals are scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on March 19. The investigation is ongoing.
