Brandon Police Service Report for February 22, 2018

Brandon, Manitoba – Attempt Break & Enter to Garage: On Wednesday morning, a homeowner from the 300 Block of Franklin Street reported an attempt Break and Enter to the detached garage that occurred sometime over the weekend. An unknown suspect attempted to pry open the walk-in door. Entry was not gained and Police continue to investigate.

Breach of Court Orders: At approximately 2:30 a.m., a highly intoxicated male waived down Police in the 800 Block of Princess Avenue. The man was found to be on two Recognizance Orders, both with conditions to abstain from consuming alcohol. The 48-year-old man was arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to appear in Court on Thursday.

At approximately 5:15 a.m., Police responded to a report of a disturbance in an apartment in the 400 Block of 12th Street. A male and female were located in the suite and the male was found to be on a Probation Order with conditions to have no contact or communication with the female and not attend the residence. The 39-year-old man from Brandon was arrested for Breach of Probation X 2 and due to intoxication was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center to be released when sober with a Court date in March.

Other Arrests: One individual was detained on Thursday evening under the Intoxicated Person Detention Act.

Two individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace.
