Bay St. George RCMP investigating thefts and assault with weapon in Stephenville

Stephenville, Newfoundland and LabradorTheft of Credit Card Reported in Stephenville – At approximately 2:15 p.m. on March 9, 2018, Bay St. George RCMP received a report of theft of a credit card in Stephenville.

A 28-year-old female resident of Stephenville was arrested and charged with misuse of a credit card, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of a court order. The woman is in custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 12, 2018.

Theft of Donation Box from Convenience Store in Stephenville – At approximately 2:45 p.m. on March 9, 2018, Bay St. George RCMP received a report that a Janeway donation box containing money was stolen from Georgia Convenience in Stephenville.

A 30-year-old man from Stephenville was arrested and charged with theft and breaching court orders. The man is in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 12, 2018.

Assault with a Weapon at Residence in Stephenville – At approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 11, 2018, Bay St. George RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence on Colonial Avenue, Stephenville.

The two men involved were known to each other. There were no injuries.

A 51-year-old man from Stephenville was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. The man is in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 12, 2018.
