Seven People Arrested After Saskatoon Police Respond to Weapons Complaint

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Seven people were arrested last night following a report of a man armed with a gun.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., April 11, 2018, officers responded to the 300 block of Avenue Q South for a report of man entering a house with a rifle. Several people were inside the home when Police arrived. After some initial resistance and an attempt to flee by one individual, officers were able to enter the home and take seven people into custody.

The officers located two rifles, one sawed-off rifle and ammunition in the residence. One of the rifles was found to have been stolen from Warman.

A 28 year old Saskatoon man, a 25 year old Saskatoon woman and a 25 year old Saskatoon man are all facing three weapons related charges.

A 44 year old Saskatoon man is facing five weapons related charges as well as Obstructing an Officer and Breach of Conditions.

A 27 year old Rosetown man is facing eight weapons related charges as well as Breach of Probation.

A 32 year old Saskatoon woman is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine as well as two weapons related charges.

A 31 year old Saskatoon man is facing two weapons related charges.
