48-Year-Old Male, Pinned Between Vehicles in Canmore, Dies in Hospital

Canmore, Alberta – On April 13, 2018 at approximately 4:45 p.m., Canmore RCMP, Canmore Fire and Canmore EMS responded to a Motor Vehicle Collision with a Pedestrian in the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue, Canmore.

A 48 year-old male was found pinned between a vehicle, a 1966 Chevrolet El Camino and another parked vehicle in the alley between 1st and 2nd Avenues. The male was taken to Canmore Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the male was working on the vehicle in a nearby garage. Unmanned at the time, it rolled across the alley pinning him between his vehicle and another parked vehicle.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.

The victim has been identified and his family have been notified however Police will not be releasing his name.
