Nanaimo Police seek info on vehicle involved in Hit and Run motor vehicle accident

Nanaimo, BC – The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a white Volkswagen Jetta with Alberta plates, which was involved in a hit and run accident with a Pontiac Sunfire. The hit and run accident occurred at approximately 7:45 pm on Tuesday May 29th, 2018 at the intersection of Franklyn St and Selby St.

Police attended to the collision and spoke with the driver of the Sunfire and several bystanders who witnessed the incident. Police determined the suspect vehicle side swiped the Sunfire on the driver’s side, after failing to yield at the intersection of Franklyn and Selby St. The suspect vehicle sustained significant damage to the passenger side, and was last seen driving towards Fitzwilliam St from Selby St. Two males were seen in the Jetta but no description of the males was provided.
