Grande Prairie RCMP Locate Dangerous Dog

Grande Prairie, Alberta – On Saturday, June 23, 2018 at approximately 2:30 AM Grande Prairie RCMP received a report that Casanova “Nova” a grey and white pitbull was spotted in the area of Crystal Landing. The dog was responsible for a serious attack on a female in Grande Prairie on June 5, 2018 and was considered to be dangerous. Grande Prairie City Enforcement Officers and police have been searching for the dog since the attack.

RCMP arrived on scene and managed to locate the dog in a yard on 103 Avenue. The dog was behaving aggressively and was subsequently euthanized in the interest of public safety.

Nova’s owners have been notified.
