Car and school bus collision in New Brunswick sends 22-year-old driver to hospital – UPDATED

Grand-Barachois, New Brunswick – Southeast District RCMP is investigating an early-morning collision on September 10, 2018 between a car and a school bus in Grand-Barachois, N.B.

Shediac RCMP responded to the crash on Route 133 just after 7:30 a.m. It appears that a car collided with the back of a school bus while the bus was stopped to pick up students. No students were injured in the collision.

The car was pinned under the bus and the driver needed to be extracted from her vehicle. The car’s driver and lone occupant, a 22-year-old woman from Haute-Aboujagane, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

Grand-Barachois, New Brunswick – A 22-year-old woman who was involved in a collision on September 10, 2018, in Grand-Barachois, has died in hospital as a result of her injuries.

The woman from Haute-Aboujagane, N.B., passed away on September 10, 2018. Shediac RCMP responded to a call of a collision between a car and a school bus on Route 133 just after 7:30 a.m. It appears the car collided with the back of a school bus while the bus was stopped to pick up students. No students were injured in the collision.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
