Coquitlam Police looking for potential victims of piano teacher

Coquitlam, BC – A Coquitlam piano teacher has been charged with three counts of sexual assault involving former students and the RCMP is investigating the possibility that there are more victims who have not yet spoken to police.

Dmytro (also known as Dmitri) Kubyshkin was not previously known to police, but he is facing allegations that range from 1998 to 2015. Kubyshkin is believed to have been teaching in private homes for more than 20 years. His current company name is ‘DM Piano School.’

In order to further the investigation, Coquitlam RCMP is releasing a photo of Kubyshkin who is described as:

  • A 67-year-old Caucasian man
  • White/blonde hair, blue eyes with a mustache
  • 178 cm (5’10), 73 kg (160 lb)
  • Medium build
  • Russian accent
