Police Assisting BC Corrections in Search for Inmate

Pitt Meadows, BC – Police are seeking public assistance in locating an inmate from the Fraser Regional Correctional Centre who walked away from an off-site work detail.

On June 13, 2018, at around 11 a.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP received a call from Fraser Regional Correctional Centre (FRCC) reporting that inmate, Michael Lund, had walked away from the off-site work detail. He was last seen in the area of South Gate Road and Airport Way. The RCMP are now working with BC Corrections to locate the inmate.

He is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 42-years-old
  • Medium build
  • 6’2, 190 lbs
  • Short brown hair, brown eyes, and facial stubble.

At the time he left the work crew, the inmate was wearing correctional attire consisting of a red shirt, red pants and red jacket. He is serving a 12-month sentence for property related crimes.

Schools in the area were notified as a precautionary measure but no school lock downs were initiated.
