28-Year-Old Male Shot in Face in Prince Albert

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – On Thursday evening at 9:10 p.m. police received a call of a reported shooting in an alley of the 200 block 9th Street East. EMS also responded and treated a 28 year old male for a gunshot wound to the face. He was transported to the local Victoria hospital in critical condition and has since been transferred to Saskatoon for further medical treatment.

A residence in the 900 block of 3rd Ave East was contained by police and is believed to be related to the incident. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division, including the Forensic Evidence Section, are searching the residence and area for evidence.

Although the motive is not yet clear, the shooting is not considered random. No arrests have been made, however suspects have been identified.
