Suspicious death in Prince Albert confirmed as homicide

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – An autopsy conducted yesterday, July 16th, 2018, confirmed 42 year old Jordan Ballantyne’s death to be homicide. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division continue to canvass the area for witnesses and video surveillance. Ballantyne was located in a yard near the intersection of 6th Ave and 20th St East on Friday evening, July 13th, just after 9 pm.

Anyone who may have witnessed an altercation or persons in that area between 7 pm and 9 pm on Friday July 13th is asked to contact police (306) 953-4222 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.


At 9:07 pm on Friday July 13th, 2018 police and EMS responded to a call of a male person down in a yard near the intersection of 6th Ave and 20th St East.

The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators have identified him as 42 year old Jordan Ballantyne. The death is being investigated as suspicious.
