Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador – On September 11, 2018, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Clarenville RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle head-on collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Thorburn Lake.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 76-year-old woman from Grand Falls-Windsor, died at the scene.
Two occupants in the other vehicle were injured and taken to Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville. A woman in that vehicle has been since released and the man was transported to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s and remains in stable condition.
