Vehicle Collides with Potato Harvester on Prince Edward Island’s Highway 6

Oyster Bed, Prince Edward Island – Queens District RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision near Oyster Bed on Friday morning, September 14. A vehicle travelling south on Highway 6 collided with a tractor pulling a potato harvester.

There was extensive damage to the southbound vehicle, but luckily the lone driver sustained only minor injuries.

Island EMS and New Glasgow Fire Department were also on scene and assisted with transporting the driver to the Queens Elizabeth Hospital.

Alcohol or drugs not a factor in the incident.

Queens District RCMP remind drivers to use caution when driving in the rural areas, and during the harvest time be aware that farm machinery may be on the roadways.
