Two liquor seizures made by Wha’Ti RCMP in 48 hours

Wha’Ti, Northwest Territories – On September 23rd, 2018 Wha’Ti RCMP arrested two individuals and seized a large quantity of liquor. The liquor seizure totaled 32 – 375 ml bottles and 7 cans of beer.

The next day, RCMP arrested another individual attempting to bring 9 – 375 ml bottles and 2- 1.75 L bottles of liquor into the community.

Given the time of year, these are considered significant seizures for the community and aids the police in trying to curb substance abuse which continues to be a top priority for the Wha’Ti RCMP. The Wha’Ti detachment in partnership with community partners continue to work together to combat these illegal sales of alcohol in an effort to reduce the harmful effects it causes.
