Man and woman from Gander, N.L. facing multiple theft charges

Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador – Groceries (meats), clothing, cigarettes and hygiene products that were recovered after being stolen from various businesses in Grand Falls and Bishop’s Falls.

On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, Grand-Falls Windsor RCMP received several complaints of theft from local businesses in Grand Falls and Bishop’s Falls.

A variety of items were stolen, ranging from groceries (meats), clothing, cigarettes and hygiene products.

Gander RCMP stopped a vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway that matched the description of the suspect vehicle. A number of the stolen items were recovered.

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old man from Gander has been arrested and charged with theft. He was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date. A 27-year-old female, also from Gander, has been charged with several counts of theft, breaches of an undertaking and breaches of probation. She has been remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.
