Airdrie RCMP are Looking for Assistance in Identifying a Male Involved in a Suspicious Incident

a male who attempted to convince a young male to get into his truck.

Airdrie, Alberta – The Airdrie RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male who attempted to convince a young male to get into his truck.

On October 18th, 2018 at approximately 8:15 pm, a 14-year-old male was walking home from football practice near George McDougall high school, located at Allen Street and Alder Crescent, when a red pickup pulled up beside him. The male driver began talking to him and then told the boy to get into his vehicle. The boy refused, jumped a fence and ran home. He was not injured during this incident.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer red truck with a box cover. It also had a dent and scratch on the driver’s side door.

The male suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male between 40 and 60 years old
  • He was a larger male with a deep voice
  • Wearing blue clothing with a short sleeved shirt
  • He had a scar on his left forearm
