Camrose Police Service Report to November 3, 2018

Camrose, Alberta – November 3, 2018 – An ongoing investigation into a theft from a west end business that occurred in August of 2018 resulted in a 27 year old female being arrested and charged with theft under $5000.00. She was released to appear in court at a later date.

Police responded to a collision between a SUV and a train at the 48 Street crossing. No one was hurt and minimal damage occurred. Police determined that the SUV was traveling north across the tracks when it was struck by a slow moving train that was traveling east.

Police responded to a downtown business on the report of an intoxicated male causing problems and refusing to leave the establishment. Police located a 40 year old male who was intoxicated and stealing other patrons drinks. The male was arrested and lodged until sober.

November 2, 2018

A traffic stop resulted in a male passenger being arrested on warrants out of Ponoka. The 38 year old was later released with a date to appear in court.

A 44 year old male was arrested on eight outstanding warrants and was remanded into custody.

A male contacted Police to report that a female had taken his keys and was refusing to give them back. Police attended and determined that the intoxicated male had conditions not to consume alcohol. The male was arrested and charged with breaching his conditions. The 39 year old was later released on a promise to appear.

A female reported that she was being threatened by her boyfriend and then hung up the phone. Police attended the residence and the intoxicated, uncooperative female was taken to her mother’s residence.

November 1, 2018

A business in the east end industrial area reported that their compound was broken into and heavy power cords were stolen.

A clothing store reported that a male had stolen an item of clothing. The male who was identified by Police using the store’s video surveillance is facing theft charges.

Two separate people contacted Police after their bicycles were stolen overnight.

The loss prevention officer at a west end business contacted Police to report that three females were in the store putting items into their purses. Police attended and arrested the three shoplifters who were in possession of over $400 worth of merchandise. All three were charged with theft and possession of stolen merchandise and issued trespass notices.

A 19 year old male was located and arrested for theft. The male had stolen money from a residence where he was an invited guest. The male was charged with theft, proceeds of crime and two counts of breaching his conditions.
