Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP respond to fatal vehicle collision involving a child

RM of McCreary, Manitoba – On November 6, 2018, at approximately 3:25 pm, officers from the Ste Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a report of a child being struck by a vehicle at a residence in the RM of McCreary.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that a four-year-old female was on her driveway when she was struck by a vehicle being driven by an adult male. The child was transported to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, alcohol and speed are not considered factors in this collision, and it does not appear that charges will be laid.

Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist.
