Moncton, New Brunswick – Seven men have been arrested in connection with a police operation targeting people attempting to buy services from sex trade workers in the Moncton area.
The Codiac Regional RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit conducted the operation on and around Dufferin Street on November 7, 2018.
Seven men, ranging in age from 21 to 69, from municipalities including Moncton, Sackville, Memramcook, Escuminac, and Aboujagane, were arrested for communicating for the purposes of obtaining sexual services. They were all released on promises to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on February 7, 2019.
A 35-year-old Moncton woman was also arrested for outstanding warrants as part of the operation and was remanded into custody. She appeared on several charges in Moncton Provincial Court on November 9, 2018, was released with conditions and is scheduled to return to court on November 30.
