Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – A 42 year old Martensville man is facing a number of charges including trafficking methamphetamine following an evade police incident early this morning.
At approximately 5:50 a.m, December 3, 2018, Patrol Officers noticed a suspicious vehicle outside a home on 110th Street East. The owner of the vehicle was known to be on court ordered conditions including a curfew. Officers attempted a traffic stop however the driver refused to stop and evaded police until a tire deflation device was deployed, disabling his vehicle. The suspect then attempted to flee the scene on foot. He was located a short distance away by members of the Canine Unit and taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle located a large knife, a bag with 26.75 grams of methamphetamine and an additional bag containing .4 grams of methamphetamine.
The man is expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, dangerous driving and breach of court conditions.
