Athabasca RCMP charge male teacher with sexual exploitation

Athabasca, Alberta – A 38-year-old male has been charged after RCMP began an investigation into allegations of sexual exploitation that were reported to police.

Charles Beamish (38) of Athabasca has been charged with the following:

  • Sexual exploitation contrary to s.153(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Beamish has been released and is expected to appear in Athabasca Provincial Court on January 14, 2019.

This charge stems from allegations of misconduct towards a former student while Beamish was a teacher.
