Vermilion RCMP investigate fatal collision with pedestrian

Vermilion, Alberta – On December 5, 2018 just before 10:00 p.m., RCMP responded to Highway 16 in the west bound lanes at Highway 41 for a report of a collision with a pedestrian.

A semi tractor trailer unit was travelling west when it struck a pedestrian on the roadway. Emergency crews responded but the 27-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene.

The investigation is ongoing and is being assisted by an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.
