Man arrested at a home in Rang-Saint-Georges, N.B. in connection with seizure of drugs and a firearm

Rang-Saint-Georges, New Brunswick – A man from northeastern New Brunswick has been arrested in connection with a drug seizure at a home in Rang-Saint-Georges, N.B.

On December 7, 2018, the Caraquet RCMP, with the assistance of the Northeast District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, executed a search warrant at a home on Route 135.

Police seized drug paraphernalia and quantities of what are believed to be cocaine and marijuana, along with cash and a firearm.

A 33-year-old man from Rang-Saint-Georges was arrested at the home and later released on a promise to appear in Caraquet Provincial Court in April 2019, in connection with the seizure.

The investigation is ongoing.
