Man arrested for drug offences after Amherst business searched

Amherst, Nova Scotia – On January 3, the Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) searched a business on East Victoria St., and arrested a 36-year-old Amherst man.

During the search of the business, police seized a significant quantity of methamphetamine, methadone and stolen property. The man is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Methadone, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Breach of Conditions. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on March 11.
