Suspicious Vehicle Stop Results In 29 Year Old Male Facing Firearm Charges

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – At approximately 1:00 am, a suspicious truck was spotted by a patrol officer in an alley near Ewart Avenue and 10th Street.

The truck was subsequently stopped and the lone male occupant was found in possession of two long barrel firearms. The 29 year old male, from west of the Battlefords, was on a court ordered mandatory firearm prohibition order, and was arrested. He is facing multiple firearm charges with respect to unauthorized possession, breach of a prohibition order and unauthorized possession of firearms in a motor vehicle. He will go to the Saskatoon Provincial Court today to answer to the charges.
