Child Porn Charges Laid After ICE Receives Tip from Australia

Red Deer, Alberta – A tip from the Queensland Police Service in Australia has resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old Central Alberta man for child pornography-related offences.

Christopher Juneau of Eckville, Alta., was arrested by ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit on January 10, 2019, with the assistance of Sylvan Lake RCMP. Eckville is located roughly 50 kilometres west of Red Deer.

Juneau’s arrest came after ICE received information from Task Force Argos, a specialized online child exploitation unit of the Queensland Police Service. Task Force Argos shared information about an Alberta suspect who was allegedly involved in trading child pornography images online.
