Strathcona County RCMP investigate uttering threats and theft

Strathcona County, Alberta – The Strathcona County RCMP are investigating an incident that occurred on Jan. 1, 2019 at the Super Value Liquor store in Sherwood Park. Public assistance is being sought in identifying the suspect responsible.

At approximately 12:15 p.m. a male entered the liquor store and attempted to purchase a case of beer. When the males card was declined he began to threaten the clerk, damaged a gate inside the store and stole the beer.

The clerk working at the time of the incident was not injured.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, with grey hair and wearing a black jacket.
