RCMP arrest 4 after interrupted break and enter to a residence

Stony Plain, Alberta – On Feb. 25, 2019 at 4:05 P.M. Stony Plain/Spruce Grove/Enoch RCMP members were dispatched to a residence north of Highway 16 on Highway 44, Parkland County. The home owner returned to his residence to discover four individuals in the act of a break and enter to his residence and removing his effects from his house. The suspects were wearing bandanas to cover their faces and had a hand gun that was pointed towards home owner.

The suspects assaulted the homeowner, and attempted to steal his van. The suspects were unsuccessful in stealing the van and took off on foot, breaking into some outbuildings on a golf course on Highway 44.

Utilizing the rural crime reduction strategies, RCMP members were able to set up containment of the area quickly. With the help of RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Services, all four suspects were located and taken into custody without further incident. The suspects’ vehicle was later found with property from the homeowner’s residence inside.

The suspects were identified as Mason Anderson, Danny Friedrick, Jenny Ray and Taylor Krushinsky. At no time was the public in danger during this incident.

Mason Anderson (31) of Spruce Grove, Alta., Danny Friedrick (29) of Edmonton, Alta., Jenny Ray (27) of Stony Plain, Alta. and Taylor Krushinsky (25) of Edmonton, Alta. have been charged with:

• Break and Enter into a Residence with the intent to commit theft;

• Break and Enter into a Business;

• Robbery with a Firearm;

• Disguise with Intent (Wearing a mask while committing an offence)

• Possession of a restricted firearm.

Mason Anderson and Taylor Krushinksy were also charged with Breach of Probation.

Mason Anderson and Danny Friedrick were remanded into custody. The two females, Jenny Ray and Taylor Krushinsky were released on a recognizance. All will be appearing in Stony Plain Provincial Court on Feb. 27, 2019 at 9:30 A.M.
