Police caution youth after girl in Kippens, N.L. approached by male driver offering a ride

Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador – On March 1, 2019, an 11-year-old female reported that while walking home from her bus stop on Maple Avenue in Kippens, NL, a blue four-door car pulled over beside her and the driver asked if she wanted a ride. The male was described as having orange hair. The female, who did not know the driver of the vehicle, reported the incident to her father and police.

Police remind youth not to accept rides from unknown drivers and ask anyone with further information about this incident or the vehicle in question, or who witness similar suspicious activity, to please contact Bay St. George RCMP at 709-643-2118.
