Two Medicine Hat Males Arrested After Redcliff RCMP Respond to Break & Enter in Progress

Redcliff, Alberta – On March 9, 2019, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Redcliff RCMP responded to the light industrial area of Redcliff for a Break and Enter in progress.

Upon arrival, the suspect(s) had fled and the Medicine Hat Police Service was notified of a description of the suspect vehicle. Medicine Hat Police Service members stopped the vehicle and following an investigation, two male residents of Medicine Hat were arrested.

Redcliff RCMP continued their investigation, along with the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team, executing a search warrant later that day at a Medicine Hat residence. Seized was approximately 150 lbs. of copper wire, a motorcycle stolen out of Calgary and several other items.

Peter Pilgrim (39) of Medicine Hat has been Charged with:

• Break and Enter (x3)

• possession of stolen property (2)

• disguise with intent to commit and indictable offence

• possession of a prohibited weapon

• possession of break-in instruments

Quinton Stewart (33) of Medicine Hat has been Charged with:

• Break and Enter (x3)

• possession of stolen property (2)

• disguise with intent to commit and indictable offence

• possession of a prohibited weapon

Both males have been released from custody on several conditions and appear in Medicine Hat Provincial Court on March 27, 2019.
