Richmond RCMP Seek Dash Cam Video in Shooting Investigation

Richmond, BC – Richmond RCMP continue to investigate the early morning shooting that occurred on Mitchell Island on Tuesday morning and are now asking anyone with dash cam or other video to report to police.

Just after 9:00 a.m. on March 12, Richmond RCMP was called to a training facility in the 11000-block of Twigg Place on Mitchell Island, for a report that a man had been shot. A 25-year-old man suffered serious injuries. He remains in hospital in stable condition.

Shortly thereafter a vehicle fire was discovered in the 5600-block of No. 7 Road, Richmond. While investigators believe the two incidents may be associated, no definite determinations can yet be made.

If you were travelling across the Knight Street Bridge between 8:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. on March 12, 2019 and have dash cam or other video footage, we are asking that you contact us, so that an investigator can arrange to review the information, states Sgt.
