Whitbourne RCMP arrests impaired driver three times the legal limit this morning

Whitbourne, Newfoundland and Labrador – This morning at approximately 8:15 a.m., Whitbourne RCMP received a complaint of a suspected impaired driver on Route 202.

RCMP officers from Whitbourne and Placentia detachment conducted patrols and the vehicle was located in Whitbourne.

The driver, a 75-year-old man from Long Harbour, was arrested for impaired driving by alcohol and provided breath samples that were three times the legal limit.

His vehicle has been impounded, his licence suspended and he is set to attend court on June 5, 2019, to answer to charges of impaired driving.
