Man charged with second-degree murder of Karl Wearden

Moncton, New Brunswick – A 33-year-old Moncton man has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of 45-year-old Karl Cadden Wearden.

The New Brunswick RCMP`s Major Crime Unit made the arrest on March 28, 2019.

Devon Stockley, formerly from Cape Breton, appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on March 29 and was charged with second-degree murder in Karl Wearden’s death, which occurred on March 18. On that date, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP had responded to Echo Drive for a report of a man who was lying on the road, injured. He died at the scene.

Devon Stockley has been remanded into custody until his next scheduled court appearance on April 26.
