Help RCMP find “Shorty” the fisherman statue

Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia – Halifax District RCMP is asking for assistance to find a 5-foot-2 wooden fisherman statue named “Shorty” stolen from the front yard of a residence on Peggy’s Point Rd.

The statue was taken sometime between 8 a.m. on April 8 and 8 a.m. on April 9. “Shorty” has long brown hair, a brown beard, a trunk like build and weighs 120 pounds. He was last seen standing still and wearing a yellow sou’wester, a fisherman’s sweater, yellow fishing waders and black rubber boots. He was showing off his catch while jauntily smoking his pipe.
