St. Paul RCMP on scene of two vehicle collision – Highway 646 – Update

St. Paul, Alberta – At approximately 1:30 p.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 646 and Range Road 83 southeast of St. Paul.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a car was heading eastbound on Highway 646 and struck an oncoming westbound semi-tractor.

Tragically, the 40-year-old lone male occupant of the car from Edmonton was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male occupant of the semi-tractor was not injured.

St. Paul RCMP along with a RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate. Traffic is no longer being re-routed on Highway 646.

Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased at this time. The name of the deceased will not be released.
