UPDATE: Saskatoon Police Service Member, Facing Charge of Sexual Assault, Resigns

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Constable Robert Brown has resigned from the Saskatoon Police Service effective immediately. Brown had been suspended from duty following a criminal charge and court proceedings. An internal review under The Police Act, 1990 has been discontinued.

A 16-year member of the Saskatoon Police Service is facing a charge of sexual assault following an investigation by the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service.

Constable Robert Brown was charged by members of the National Investigation Service on April 24, 2018, following an investigation into an off-duty incident that occurred on November 11, 2017.

Pursuant to the Police Act, Constable Brown has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of court proceedings.
