Fort Vermilion RCMP locate youth after search missing after hiking with friends and family

La Crete, Alberta – On May 11, 2019, just after 11:00 p.m., RCMP were advised by the La Crete Fire Department that a 14-year-old male youth had gone missing after hiking with friends and family in the Buffalo Head Prairie area. It was reported the male had gotten away from the group during the hike.

A large grid search was organized and after 12 hours of searching the youth was located, assessed by La Crete EMS and released.
