Weather conditions are hampering efforts to conduct a continued, coordinated search effort. The Kings District RCMP will continue to monitor the weather and surf conditions to determine if and when a coordinated ground search along the coastline can begin.

Police are in contact with the man’s family and are keeping them updated.

The RCMP is aware that some individuals have voluntarily gone out to conduct their own search and urges those people to use caution and consider their own safety.
