Fort McMurray, Alberta – On June 4, 2019, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP were notified of threats made towards Bill Woodward School and Anzac Community School. As a safety precaution, both schools were placed on lockdown.
RCMP responded immediately to investigate and members quickly and safely located an individual off school grounds who was taken into custody without incident.
The lockdown has since been lifted and no charges have been laid at this time, investigation ongoing.
