Man charged with sex offences following incident in Cole Harbour

Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia – The RCMP has charged a 28-year-old man with multiple sex offences related to a June 3 incident in Cole Harbour.

At approximately 6 p.m. on June 3, Halifax District RCMP attended Cole Harbour Place on Forest Hill Pkwy. to respond to a man who made inappropriate comments. Staff had escorted the man out of the building by the time the call was made.

A preliminary investigation showed that the man jumped into the building’s hot tub while fully clothed. It was reported that the man then made inappropriate comments and staff escorted him out of the building.

On June 4, RCMP issued a news release asking for public help to identify the person involved in the incident. Later that day, thanks to tips from the public, Halifax District RCMP had identified the man.

On June 5, the man was arrested by Halifax Regional Police (HRP) on an outstanding warrant for Failing to Appear in Court and transported to their Headquarters on Gottingen St. RCMP arrested him at HRP Headquarters without incident and took over his custody.
