Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit: Charges laid against 50-year-old male

Saskatoon , Saskatchewan – The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a man from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with three child pornography related offences.

Don Michel Roullaud, age 50, has been charged with the following:

Possession of Child Pornography – Sec.163.1(4) C.C.

Accessing Child Pornography – Sec. 163.1 (4.1) C.C.

Making Child Pornography Available – Sec. 163.1 (3) C.C.

On May 20, 2019 the ICE Unit began investigating the activities of an unknown person who was downloading and sharing child pornography images and videos on the Internet. The investigation identified a Saskatoon location where the offences were occurring.

On June 5 members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at this location where they located child pornography and seized several computers and other devices for further forensic examination.

Don Roullaud was arrested at the location, charged and held in custody to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Saskatoon on June 6.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
