UPDATE 2: Cold Lake RCMP and Major Crimes Unit investigate suspicious death of male

Cold Lake First Nation, Alberta – The RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested four suspects from June 3-6, 2019, in relation to the homicide of Darren Reid.

Anthony Delorme (33), Jerry Herman (40) both of Cold Lake First Nations, Brandon Sanregret (26) of Cold Lake and Cy Sharp (23) of no fixed address have been charged with second degree murder.

Their next court appearance will be in Cold Lake Provincial Court on June 12, 2019.

As this matter is now before the courts, no further information will be released.

Cold Lake RCMP and Major Crimes Unit investigate suspicious death of male – Update

Cold Lake First Nation, Alta. – On Jan. 29, 2019 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to reports of gun fire in the English Bay area of Cold Lake First Nations.

The deceased victim located at the residence has been identified as Darren Reid (49) of Cold Lake First Nations. An autopsy was completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the manner of death has been deemed a homicide.

The RCMP Major Crime Unit with assistance from Cold Lake RCMP continue to investigate and would like to speak with anyone that may have been in the English Bay area between 1:00 – 4:00 a.m., on Jan 29, 2019.

Cold Lake First Nation, Alta. – On Jan. 29, 2019 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Cold Lake RCMP responded to reports of gun fire in the English Bay area of Cold Lake First Nations.

Upon arrival police located a deceased adult male inside a residence.

The RCMP Major Crime Unit with assistance from Cold Lake RCMP, RCMP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and Police Dog Services (PDS) continue to investigate. An autopsy has been scheduled this week at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.

Police are looking to speak with anyone that may have been in the English Bay area between 1:00 – 4:00 a.m., on Jan 29, 2019.
